There has long been a need for a safe, rigid, and truly high-end adjustable mounting solution for composite race seats used in race cars and off-road vehicles. We set out to fill that void—and developed a seat mounting system designed specifically for demanding motorsports applications.
Unlike many custom adjustable seat mounts that rely on plastic or bronze bushings sliding over a tube, the Izzy Fab Power Adjustable Seat Mount utilizes a high-load linear bearing system riding on precision stainless-steel guide rails.
 
This bearing technology is similar to what is commonly used in CNC machinery, providing an extremely rigid mounting platform while allowing the seat to move smoothly and effortlessly with virtually zero sliding resistance.
 
Heavy-Duty Electric Adjustment
Seat positioning is controlled by a high-load electric linear actuator mounted within a fabricated 4130 chromoly support structure.
A momentary forward/reverse control switch is positioned within easy reach along the side of the seat mount, allowing the driver to quickly adjust seating position without tools or manually releasing the seat.
Built-In Safety & Redundancy
Safety was a major consideration throughout the design.
In addition to the actuator holding the seat position, the system incorporates a secondary mechanical locking safety pin on the door side of the mount. In the unlikely event of an actuator or drive-system failure, the mechanical lock provides an additional layer of protection to help prevent unintended seat movement.
This redundant locking design provides a level of security not commonly found in custom power-adjustable race seat mounting systems.
